The Tower Handbook

3.Good habits

Like most things, getting into a routine can greatly improve the way that you and your fellow ringers carry out the task of ringing for services and at other times when the bells are needed. By making and observing a few basic ground rules (that are really common sense) you will make your tower a better place to ring in, one which is safe and fun to be in, where the ringing is enjoyed by everyone and where everyone does their best. We have called this routine Good Habits. Because safety is very important we cover this aspect first.

3.1: Safety.

3.2: Be Prepared.

3.3: Pride and standards.

3.4: Good striking.

3.5: Hospitality.

3.6: Housekeeping.

3.7: Record keeping.
